You know what? I love Dawson Leery. I LOVE HIM. Never in television history has the title character of a series been more hated on than any other character, BUT I LOVE DAWSON. I love his kindness and I love his optimism and I love his integrity and I love his passion for film and for those he loves and his wonderful wonderful smile. I even love his ugly crying face. I LOVE DAWSON LEERY AND IDGAF WHO KNOWS IT.

Every good thing that’s happened in my life I’ve essentially managed to talk out of existence and I’m not gonna do that this time.

So I know that this is an old show and people usually roll their eyes wheneverDawson’s Creekcomes up in conversation, but I just wanted to say that I loved this show for the rare moments when everything seemed to come together. The depth of each character, their growth and development throughout the years, are just so amazing to me. I know it’s kind of old school and yeah, the plot can be lame sometimes, but honestly, I think that the good far outweighs the bad. I still stand by my opinion that Dawson and Joey was one of the best couples to have ever existed on television in the 90’s. In the earlier seasons, anyway. Before everything got super complicated and they both changed. But at the very beginning, when they were both in high school and their relationship went from being childhood best friends to lovers, that was probably one of the best highlights of the show. It was so realistic— their struggles, their ups and their downs. You could tell that by just seeing how they looked at each other that they were always meant to be soulmates.
Sigh! Anyway. I loved this scene and I needed to share it. That is ALLL.

Did you just ask me to take my clothes off? See, I think you believe I look like Ryan Gosling under there but really it’s more of a Will Ferrell kinda thing. So I’m gonna keep my clothes on, and you’re gonna keep imagining I look like Ryan Gosling.
